ICM wins expanded Recovery contract with Experian

Experian now has more than 300 work area recovery seats at ICM’s Nottingham centre for both call centre and back office staff.
 
Edward Sherley-Price, Head of Business Continuity at Experian, explains: "The location of ICM’s work area recovery centre is ideal for us. Should our offices become unavailable, the centre is on a city tram stop, near a motorway junction and has plenty of parking. It means that our staff can carry on work without disruption and get there in the usual way that they commute."
 

Shadow Planner 4.2 release adds communication dimensions

 
ICM today announces Shadow-Planner 4.2 which, for the first time, will allow an organisation’s Business Continuity coordinator to initiate real-time two-way communication directly with relevant staff via email, or SMS during an incident. 
 
Coordinators will now have access to the complete functionality of Shadow-Planner while on the move via the Blackberry PlayBook tablet, and can synchronise BC Plans and contact information directly onto their Blackberry Smartphone. These innovations mean that coordinators are no longer tied to their desk and can immediately access critical information and pre-approved BC plans, wherever they are, saving precious time and minimising the impact of a crisis.

From April, 2011 ICM and Servo are to  merge to create one company. The new combined business continuity group will employ more than 600 staff, offering strategic IT and business continuity services from 17 UK locations.
