Kuwait Business Continuity event focuses on regional development

Business Continuity continued its development in the Middle East with the first Kuwait Forum event held at the Swiss-Belhotel Plaza on 30th November.
Over 70 professionals from different organizations from the Financial, Manufacturing, Trading and Oil and gas sectors attended.
In this inaugural event of The BCI Kuwait Forum, presentations covered introductions to Business Continuity, a Career Roadmap and Industry Good Practice. It also provided a networking session for existing and potential members of BCI in Kuwait to share common experiences in the region.
Nisar Ahmed Khan MBCI, Head of Business Continuity Management at KIB spoke on a number of themes during his presentation providing information on the Business Continuity Institute, the career roadmap for Business Continuity and the importance of professional development.
Muhammad Ghazali MBCI, Associate Director and Head of BCM Services at Protiviti Member Firm Middle East, focused his presentation on BCM activities though use of the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG 2010) to provide an overview and scope of the BCM Lifecycle. His session highlighted practical application of the guidelines and the challenges of implementation often encountered.
In closing the event, Senthil Kumar thanked all the participants and especially Protiviti Member Firm Middle East for their valuable support. He added that Protivitti is keen to facilitate more events promoting Business Continuity Management across the region.
