A lot goes into ensuring Barclaycard’s 23 million customers’ finances are safe and secure. Operating across the world means that from time to time, we have to deal with all kinds of business interruption issues, from IT failures to damage caused by natural disasters. Amazingly, all this is handled by our centralised team in Cheshire who work round the clock to keep things ticking over. And to drive them forward to further success, we’re looking to add a talented Business Incident Manager to the team.
You’ll support Crisis Incident Management, maintain operational effectiveness and ensure all work is in line with our goals and defined procedural policies. As well as providing management for the less severe events, you’ll take the initiative when it comes to driving continuous service improvements. Day-to-day, you’ll interact with both team members and colleagues at all levels, so your communication skills must be second-to-none.
Experience of delivering incident management responses across a complex, global organisation (preferably within the financial services industry or banking) is absolutely crucial. Your background will mean you’re familiar with the entire process, from determining the root cause to post-problem analysis; as well as how to deliver business resumption and crisis response functions. This role will really put your experience to the test so you must be able to keep a cool head under pressure.
